Using design thinking, we came out a solution to solve the problem statement, "How can we reduce the amount of times plastic trash bags are used during peak hours?"

We researched on the possible ways to reduce plastic bags and eventually came to a conclusion that we can be more efficient and effective with the way we use our plastic bags.

That's when we came up with a solution which implements automations using a motor and a forklift mechanism that allows us to compress trash within the plastic trash bag to maximize the space within the trash bag.

This is a video showing our initial prototype stage. It consist of a mini motor and a forklift mechanism that is powered up by Arduino coded microchip that tells the motor what to do.
